Following are some of the medicines to treat hemophilia:

  • Hemlibra:This medicine has a function similar to factor VIII. Hemlibra is also known as ACE 910. This medicine reduces spontaneous bleeding in patients with hemophilia.
  • Amicar:This medicine is also known as Epsilon aminocaproic acid. Patients receive this medicine in the form of a pill or an intravenous injection. This medicine works by preventing the clot from breaking – resulting in stable clot formation. Amicar is mostly used to prevent mouth bleeding after tooth loss or dental treatment.
  • Cryoprecipitate:This medicine comes from defrosting the frozen plasma. It has a good quantity of factor VIII. In the past, this treatment was used to treat severe bleeding disorders.
