Causes of Hemorrhoids

The veins present around the anus sometimes tend to stretch under straining and may swell too, and after all this vein swelling, there is the development of hemorrhoids in the people. Hemorrhoids may also develop in the lower rectum region due to increased pressure. Most of the times, the increasing pressure on the anus and lower rectum is the main culprit behind hemorrhoids. Following are the ten causes of hemorrhoids:

Sitting for a longer time on the toilet:

spending a long time in the toilet to excrete the faeces out significantly puts pressure on the rectum and anus. The straining is increasing with the time you sit on the toilet seat because your rectum gets in a lower position than the rest of our body as the toilet seat is cut out. Moreover, by sitting longer on the toilet seat, gravity starts taking over, and the blood begins to pool, which causes clotting in the veins. These blood clots or thrombosis become the reason of formation of hemorrhoids in the lower rectum and anal region.
