Pregnant ladies are more prone to develop the condition of hemorrhoids because in a pregnant woman, the uterus is getting bigger and it puts immense pressure on veins which results in swelling of veins and ultimately hemorrhoid formation. Mostly the hemorrhoids start developing in the third trimester of pregnancy because the uterus is quite large in size, and it puts maximum pressure on the veins around that time.
