Thrombosed hemorrhoid

In this type of hemorrhoid, hemorrhoid contains a thrombosis or blood clot, thus giving hemorrhoid the name, i.e. thrombosed hemorrhoid. The blood clot or thrombosis is present within the tissue having hemorrhoids. The blood clots might appear as lumps or swelling of the skin around the anus. The appearance of thrombosed hemorrhoids is definitely an indication of the complication happening in hemorrhoid, which ultimately results in the formation of blood clots.

The blood clots in thrombosed hemorrhoid affect both types of hemorrhoids, i.e. internal and external hemorrhoids. Some of the symptoms that might occur in thrombosed hemorrhoids include:

  • Swelling
  • Redness of the skin surface
  • Intense irritation and pain
  • The appearance of bluish colour around the area of the hemorrhoid

In the case of thrombosed hemorrhoids, the patients mostly suffer from aggravating pain, irritation, or inflammation around the rectal and anal areas. It is very important to frequently go to a doctor for proper diagnosis and treatment of the hemorrhoids to avoid any further complications. The reason behind suggesting a quick remedy for the cure of hemorrhoids is that the complications from thrombosed hemorrhoids might result in causing a lack of blood supply to the rectal or anal tissues.
