Slurred Speech
The arteries having the task of supplying blood to the heart and chambers of the heart become narrow gradually due to the blockage because of plaque formation. This process of narrowing and hardening of walls of the arteries is known as atherosclerosis. When some part of this plaque breaks and floats around the blood, forming blood clots around the plaque, this blood clot blocks the blood flow and thus depriving the body of oxygen supply. The deprivation of body tissues from oxygen supply is known as ischemia. As a result of ischemia, the heart undergoes an attack causing slow or zero sensory responses. Thus the person undergoing a heart attack have slow speech and find difficulty to speak even few words.
