HIV attacks immune cells and spread also to breast milk. Mothers with HIV infection will transmit the virus to her newly born baby via breastfeeding. So, it is advised to the HIV mothers that don’t feed your infants in such condition. Also, there are likely chances of HIV transmission during pregnancy and birth. Word health organization allowed to breastfeeding for 12 months, if the mother adheres to antiretroviral therapy.
