Memory loss, depression, and other Neurologic disorders

In the final stages of HIV infection, the memory of the infected person will decline and may get depression. The infection may also cause other neurological dysfunctions such as burning pain and numbness in the toes, numbness, dementia, etc. It is advised to keep the infected individual on medication to arrest and reduce the progression of HIV infection.
