Candidiasis

Candidiasis is also a fungal infection caused by Candida and common with HIV infection. It mostly attacks the oral mucosa (oral thrush), esophagus and also affects the vagina. People with candidiasis will have patches on the tongue and surrounding tissues. The patient will experience a problem during swallowing and taking medications.
