How The Vaccine Works?
The vaccine, which commonly goes by the name Gardasil or Cervarix, does not contain the virus either live or inactivated. The HPV vaccine contains the viral proteins that are capable of initiating the immune system. Once the person receives a shot, the immune system effectively battles the viral proteins and makes copies that serve as memory, in case of a future attack of the virus. The immune system is hence boosted to fight the virus.
