Influenza Incubation Period
The incubation period for any disease is the time to attain the causative agent to the onset of illness. The incubation period for the influenza virus is almost two days, but usually differs from one to four days. The time of two days is very typical for the virus to grow as it grows rapidly, making multiple copies. After the virus’s contraction, it starts generating copies in the human body, and after one to four days, the symptoms of influenza infection start appearing. The people who are already sick from influenza infection are contagious for the community for almost 5 to 7 days after their symptoms.
