Rapid Molecular Assays
The use of rapid molecular assays is an advanced molecular diagnostic test for influenza with higher specificity and sensitivity, including the upper respiratory tract’s specimen. The rapid molecular assay results yield the results in less than 15 minutes and use amplification of isothermal nucleic acid. Simultaneously, another platform from rapid molecular assays uses RT-PCR with higher sensitivity and provides results in almost 20 minutes.
