Headaches

The pain arising from the body’s upper neck or head is known as headache and is one of the commonly occurring symptoms in influenza virus patients. The pain is sometimes mild or intense, depending on the severity and intensity of the virus’s exposure, causing influenza infection. When a person is suffering from influenza virus infection, then the cytokines, i.e., the body’s infection-fighting molecules, start causing pain in the head or upper neck tissues. The little molecules of cytokines are part of the immune system, and the body produces these molecules naturally in response to exposure to influenza virus strains. The cytokines start fighting against the viral infection of influenza, and as a result, inflammation occurs, which ultimately causes headaches.
