USS
Ultrasound or USS is a diagnostic method for orthopedics to visualize tendons, soft tissue masses, nerves, bone surfaces, and ligaments. USS is comparably more portable, inexpensive and safer to use than the other imaging techniques like MRI and CT scans as there is no use of mutagenic ionizing waves. Ultrasound accurately assesses the presence of tendon lesions, particularly in the case of tendinitis of the patellar tendon. Moreover, ultrasound easily detects bursae and joint effusions to reveal the condition of bursitis. [4]
