Enlarged Lymph Nodes
In some cases, cancerous cells gather at the lymph nodes result in swelling and tenderness. As a result, people feel an abnormal increase in the size of lymph nodes – known as lymphadenopathy. The lymph nodes present in the neck known as axillary lymph nodes or cervical lymph nodes that present in the armpit also cause symptoms and cannot be directly examined.
Enlarged breast lymph nodes, for example, mediastinal lymph nodes, may not be touched but can cause difficulty breathing, wheezing, or coughing.
