Coordination problems
The coordination problems among the muscles and the nerve impulses serve as the warning signs of hypoglycemia for the patients. The acute decrease in blood glucose levels causes lack of glucose or energy supply to the brain, which consequently results in slurred speech and lack of coordination. The response to the stimuli becomes very slow as there is not enough fuel available for both the brain and the muscles to perform a voluntary movement successfully. The coordination problems resulting due to hypoglycemia can serve as a challenging factor for performing the everyday chores by the patients.
