The individuals exposed to air pollution from power plants, industries, or vehicles have a higher risk of lung cancer. Total deaths that are caused by lung cancer 1-2 percent occurred due to air pollution. Just like passive smoking, prolonged exposure to contaminated air can increase the chances of lung cancer.
