The mesothelioma tumors start increasing in size and can cause severe pain, which gets worse with time and also causes the swelling of the voice box, i.e., pharynx locating in the throat, which leads to a hoarse voice. Not all the patients experience this symptom, but it is one of the warning signs of mesothelioma.
