Simian virus 40 (SV40)
According to some studies, there is a possible link between the development of mesothelioma and simian virus 40. The current pieces of evidence state that the exposure to the polio vaccines containing the SV40 as contamination between the years of the 1950s and 1960s link to the cause of mesothelioma. Although the development of mesothelioma cancer is not the solo work by the simian virus, there might be other factors too. However, the simian virus 40 makes the people more prone to carcinogen exposure, such as the asbestos.
