Immunotherapy
Immunotherapy involves using the immune system of the patient to fight the cancer cells growing in the body. Normally the cancer cells from the tumors blind the body’s immune system to fight against the disease by producing specific proteins. The use of immunotherapy interferes with the blinding of the immune system by the specific proteins. Immunotherapy is a treatment option when other treatments do not work for a certain patient of mesothelioma.
