The build-up of fluid around the lungs
In the case of mesothelioma, the cancer cells of tumor, which are growing start attacking the pleura in the lungs and causes a build-up of fluid in the pleural cavity of the lungs. The fluid build-up around the lungs is medically known as pleural effusion and is a very serious condition for the cancer patient. Moreover, the condition of pleural effusion is also a sign that the tumor cells are growing at a much faster rate in the body.
