Swelling of the arms and face
Swelling of arms and legs is another recurring symptom of malignant mesothelioma cancer. The swelling of body parts is mainly due to the fluid build-up in these parts and is medically known as edema. The growth of tumor cells in different body areas like the lungs, heart, and the testicles causes the accumulation of excess fluid in the body cavities, leading to swelling of the arms and legs. Edema also represents swelling in other body parts, like the face, the lower extremities, and the abdomen.
