Chest Pain
Some ulcer patients describe chest pain as “non-cardiac chest pain,” which, according to the American College of Gastroenterology, refers to pain in the area that is not caused by a heart attack or heart disease. Pain in the chest is commonly caused by a GI problem (e.g., stomach ulcer), although it may also be caused by stress or anxiety.
