Poor Appetite
One would think an ulcer would kill his appetite, but some people oddly experience and link this burning or gnawing sensation as hunger. As with any stomach pain or discomfort, the amount of pain you’re experiencing will affect your appetite. After you had something to eat, the pain may stop for a short time. Another common symptom of stomach ulcers is a feeling of completeness, according to the Mayo Clinic. Bloating and burping may accompany this feeling of being complete. Both these symptoms collectively lower your appetite.
