Dilated cardiomyopathy
The people with muscular dystrophy can lead to a condition called dilated cardiomyopathy. In this condition, the pumping of blood decreases due to a disorder in the main pumping chamber; the left ventricle, it becomes enlarged. It can prevent the heart from relaxing and filling blood as it should. Over time, the issue can increase, and other chambers of the heart can also be affected. The symptoms include shortness of breath and irregular heart rate. The person feels extreme tiredness, swelling of legs and feet may also occur.
