Weakness Of Neck Muscles
In addition to the limbs and other skeletal muscles, myasthenia gravis also weakens the neck muscles and makes it difficult for the person hold their head straight for a period of time. Neck muscles play an important role in the stability of our head and work in association with the spine to cause a number of movements. Myasthenia gravis itself does not result in neck pain but the weakness of neck muscles might lead to pain and aches. It becomes quite difficult for the myasthenia gravis patients to hold their head for a longer time because the neck muscles tire up easily and make it difficult to move the head from one side to another.
