Chewing problems might appear due to the weakness of muscles running along the jaw in the patients of myasthenia gravis. In severe cases of myasthenia gravis, the patients often actively open and close their jaw with hands due to immense weakness of the facial muscles. While some patients of myasthenia gravis experience severe weakness in their jaw leaving it to hang open and the patients might sit with their hands on the chin to support it.
