Myelodysplastic Syndrome (Overview, Signs and Symptoms, Complication, Causes and Risk factors, Diagnosis, Treatment, Outlook)

Warning Signs and Early symptoms

Myelodysplastic Syndrome is challenging to diagnose because it shows no signs and symptoms at the early stages. The main feature of MDS is to cause low blood cell counts. Later the symptoms depend on which type of blood cells has experienced. Peoples having MDS may experience these types of symptoms or signs.

Fatigue

Fatigue drains people with MDS not only physically but emotionally. People with MDS reported losing patience with themselves and worrying about their loss of independence. Fatigue is common among patients with bone marrow failure disease, and it requires support and help. In MDS, the bone marrow does not provide enough healthy red blood cells, which transport oxygen to other tissues and cells. Without healthy red blood cells to carry oxygen, it left peoples feeling continuously weak and tired throughout the day.
