Anti-inflammatory Foods and Drinks
In many cases of back pain, inflammation is a critical component. It can trigger back pain or worsen your condition. This is a natural body response to defend itself against infection, toxins, and injuries. However, inflammation is sometimes exaggerated and causes more harm than good. That is when anti-inflammatories come into play.
In nature, there are also plenty of anti-inflammatories we can use. For example, turmeric is one of the most potent anti-inflammatories in herbs and can be found in curry. It is a herb widely used in Asian food, and we can also buy our turmeric milk.
This type of milk is usually available in the spices section of a grocery store. If you can’t find it there, you can make your turmeric milk by adding 1/2 a teaspoon of turmeric to a glass of milk. You can sweeten the drink and use almond milk if you are lactose-intolerant.
Another spice with potent anti-inflammatory potential is ginger, and we can consume green tea with ginger to reduce inflammation and free radical damage. They are usually bought separately, and you can blend the ingredients afterward.
It is also a good idea to reduce the consumption of saturated fats and implement healthy fats in your diets, such as fatty fish, avocado, and olive oil.
