Elevated Basal Body Temperature
Often more reliable than the rest of the symptoms, basal body temperature (the maximum rest of your body temperature) should be tracked for months to assess a noticeable change. The body temperature increases until ovulation and returns to normal after the menstrual cycle. The basal body temperature, however, tends to remain elevated throughout the pregnancy. This is due to high progesterone levels during pregnancy, which causes the temperature of the body to rise. If your body temperature has been rising for more than 20 days after ovulation, it will mark the beginning of a new journey.
