As the disease is not limited to humans, only, therefore, touching an animal with ringworm can also transfer disease from the animal to the human. It mostly happens to the people having pets like kitten or dogs. Animals acquire the disease form any object or surface, and when humans touch these animals, the disease is transferred to them and becomes a cause of infection. Mostly pet animals like Cats, dogs, and especially kittens and puppies carry the infection. Guinea pigs or farm animals like lambs and cows can also acquire the infection, so touching them can also transfer the disease.
