Antifungal creams and tablets

Different kinds of drugs are used for the treatment of skin worm infections. Imidazole is an organic compound that easily dissolves in water, is colorless, and gives an alkaline solution. This compound shows excellent properties in the treatment of a variety of infections and therefore is used in many antifungal drugs. Some of the medicines include clotrimazole, oxiconazole, sertaconazole, and Econazole. The drugs can be used in the form of creams, powders, capsules, and lotions.

In the case of children, different drugs are used for the treatment of ringworm, including Griseofulvin, Terbinafine, and Itraconazole. The duration of these drugs is from 4 to 6 weeks depending upon the severity of the infection. Some lotions and creams like Lamisil may also be applied to the area of disease to prevent it from spreading.

Sometimes the infection is stubborn, and it’s challenging to treat it in which case therapy is also required. In the case of the occurrence of the disease on nails, the doctors prescribe drugs, including Itraconazole, fluconazole, and terbinafine.
