Best Time To Have a Test

If you are pregnant, the ideal time to have a sickle cell blood test is to be ten weeks pregnant. It allows more time to test the partner or your baby if required. You can also ask your doctor for a test early in pregnancy. However, tests still are done at a later stage.

A prenatal test can be done from 10 weeks of pregnancy onwards by depending on the type of test used.
