Risk Factors For Sleep Apnea

The possibility of developing sleep apnea is very prevalent, but there are certain factors which increase the probability of a person to get sleep apnea, and these factors include:

Narrowing of airway

Some people might inherit the narrowed airways from their parents, and this result in the development of sleep apnea. While in other cases, the tonsils or adenoids swell and increase in size, thus blocking the air passage from the airways. The blockage in airways leads to the development of awakening episodes as the person suffers difficulty in breathing.
