Jaundice

Due to bleeding, bruising on the skin can be seen as a common symptom. Due to bleeding, the red blood cells start to break down, and it results in the formation of bilirubin. Bilirubin builds up in the blood and causes the yellowing of the skin and eyes, resulting in jaundice formation. Jaundice is a significant complication in liver disease and affects the treatment of liver cirrhosis. As bleeding occurs in thrombocytopenia, therefore it limits the ability to perform surgical procedures due to the risk of bleeding.
