Meniere’s Disease
Meniere’s disease is an inner ear pathology. Tinnitus is a less common symptom of this disease, vertigo being the presenting symptom and also the most bothersome one. Other associated symptoms are hearing loss and aural fullness. Tinnitus due to Meniere’s disease is clinically important in about 19% of total patients. In nature, it is of a low frequency type, fluctuating, which makes it considerably tolerable in initial stages. It may fixate and worsen with time.
