Hearing aids
The elderly people are more prone to developing tinnitus which is seen to be linked with senile hearing loss. Noise-induced tinnitus, and tinnitus due to otosclerosis or Meniere’s disease, all hint to strong association of tinnitus with hearing loss. Hearing aids are devices which are worn in the concavity of the ear, and can be specifically adjusted to increase hearing of the affected frequency range. This maneuver counters the sound deprivation which precipitates tinnitus.
