Failure to open eyes
Person suffering from pink eye is unable to open his eyes. It is a very common condition in newborn babies as they can’t open their eyes in conditions such as bacterial conjunctivitis or ophthalmia neonatorum. Conjunctivitis in your newborn baby occurs due to blocked tear duct or a bacterial or viral infection. Visit your doctor immediately if you or your child are unable to open their eyes accompanied by other symptoms like discharge, redness or swelling of the eye/s.
