Hormonal Replacement Therapy
In the case of menopause or other conditions, hormone replacement therapy can lead to the onset of varicose veins. The reason behind the onset of varicose veins is the estrogen hormone. The increasing levels of estrogen weaken the valves and veins and cause varicose veins. The further progression of varicose veins can cause scarring and blood clot formation in the veins.
