Stage 2: Varicose veins
Varicose veins are the second stage of vein diseases, and the presence of varicose veins is an indication of the advancing vein damage in a person. Varicose veins appear as swollen, large, and bulging veins, which are mostly present on the feet and the legs. Although the veins appear as bulging but typically, people do not experience any pain or discomfort. At the same time, it can be extremely painful for some people with the same condition.
Some symptoms of varicose veins:
Twisted veins
Aching and heavy legs
Enlarged and bulging veins
Itching and burning sensation
Bleeding of veins
Hardening of the veins
Swelling of feet, ankles, and legs
Discoloration of skin
Increasing discomfort and pain
Some causes of varicose veins:
Varicose veins usually occur due to the weakening of the valves present inside the vein. When the valves have some damage and cannot able o function properly, there starts the backflow of blood into our veins in the legs, which causes a pool of blood – the pool of blood results in the stretching and dilating of veins.
