Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine): Impressive Benefits, Food Sources

 Helpful in rheumatoid arthritis

Vitamin B6 plays a role in immune function and joint health. A new study has found that it may also help people with rheumatoid arthritis.

The study looked at the effect of vitamin B6 on a group of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. The patients were given either a placebo or a daily dose of vitamin B6 for eight weeks. The results showed that those who took vitamin B6 had a significant reduction in disease activity, compared to those who took the placebo.

Vitamin B6 is thought to work by reducing inflammation in the body. This is important because inflammation is one of the main drivers of rheumatoid arthritis.
