Although vitamin C has numerous scientifically proven health benefits but there are many claims with little or zero scientific evidence. One of these claims with weak evidence include the treatment of lead toxicity. As people with lead toxicity tend to have lower vitamin C levels so supplementation might help in treating the lead toxicity.
