Addison’s disease
Addison disease is a rare disorder in the endocrine glands of the human body. It is also an autoimmune disease affecting the hormonal balance of the body. The immune system of the body starts attacking the adrenal gland cells. As a result, the body is not able to produce cortisol, which is a steroid hormone and deals with stress. It also controls metabolism and appetite. The low amount of cortisol leads to deteriorating health, hunger and weight loss.
