Common Symptoms Of Cataract
A patient with a cataract may come up with the following presenting complaints. Some of these complaints may be ignored by the patient in the early phase. However, in high-risk population like elderly, such complaints should not be ignored. Acknowledging the symptoms help in timely diagnosis and hence preventing complication of the disease.
Blurred vision
The blurriness is a condition in which a person is unable to see the image sharply. It is the most common symptom of cataract. When light passes through the buildup protein, rather than being focused at a single point light disperses in many directions which leads to blurred vision. The extent of blurriness depends on how small or big the cataract is. Moreover, even after the cataract surgery blurriness will last a day or two.
