Avoid Rubbing Your Eyes
Rubbing can only cause damage to the eye after a cataract surgery. Rubbing the eye not only increases the pressure on the eye, but it also transfers bacteria from the hand into the eye. The patient should avoid rubbing the eyes at all cost and try to wear protective shields in order to avoid unintentional rubbing.
