Frequent Urination
If fibroids in your uterus are starting to grow larger and if there are several tumors appearing then they might cause expansion of the uterus. The expansion of the uterus can make the uterus to press against the bladder and reduces its ability to keep enough urine in storage. Consequently, the symptom of frequent urination starts to appear causing immense discomfort even at night. A majority of the women can experience additional pressure on the bladder or bowel due to the fibroids growing in the uterus which is responsible for frequent urination. However, in some rare cases, the fibroids can compress the tubes carrying urine from the kidneys to the bladder i.e., the ureters. The pressure on the ureters can lead to kidney dysfunction and adversely affects urination. A fibroid of larger size can in fact expand the uterus to the size of a second-trimester pregnant woman. The enlarged uterus results in losing control over the blockage of the outflow of urine. A woman with uterine fibroids might need to wake up several times during the night to urinate and is sometimes feels unable to empty a full bladder.
