Yeast
Yeast is the major cause of fungal acne. It causes infection in the hair follicles by multiplying inside them. The yeast feeds on the sebum produced by the sebaceous glands and proliferates, which causes irritation and inflammation. Diabetes, stress and fatigue, oil skin, humidity are certain factors which can encourage yeast growth.
