Skin Infections
There is an increased risk of developing certain skin infections such as herpes infection, bacterial rash, and other scratching conditions in Alzheimer’s patients as the skin becomes dry and frail. Moreover, the immune system of an Alzheimer’s patient suffers compromises and is unable to defend the skin from infectious microbes.
