Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)
Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is the decline in thinking abilities and memory which is higher than the normal people. MCI does not prevent the person to function normally in work or social environments and it is normal for the age of that person. Moreover, the diagnosis of MCI shifts the focus of the doctors that it might lead to dementia and Alzheimer’s so they encourage developing healthy lifestyle habits to make up for the loss of memory. An untreated condition of mild cognitive impairment might lead to Alzheimer’s disease because MCI patients are at potential risk.
