Fever
Fevers are an indication that the immune system is fighting off some sort of infection. With hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), the fever that indicates this disorder emerges from the initial acute kidney injury and then continues once there is a return to normal kidney function. Fever related to haemolytic uraemic syndrome occurs because kidneys are unable to get rid of fever-producing substances in the body.
