Narcolepsy without cataplexy
Narcolepsy in the case of without having cataplexy usually includes all the signs of narcolepsy which is extreme sleepiness or drowsiness. There are symptoms such as dream-like hallucinations, sleep attacks and paralysis. The episode of paralysis usually occurs while the patient starts falling asleep or waking up. The symptoms of narcolepsy without having cataplexy triggers by the disruption of nighttime sleep. However, there is absence of episodes of sudden muscle weakness due to the strong emotions. This type of narcolepsy without the occurrence of cataplexy can be less severe than the former type of narcolepsy.
